NISSAN 350Z SHOCK REPLACEMENT TOOLS
Make sure you have the following vehicle maintenance and repair tools at your disposal:
- KYB Front Shock Absorber for Nissan 350Z – R&L: Excel-G, Twin Tube (Part No.341366/ 341367)
- KYB Rear Shock Absorber for Nissan 350Z – R&L: Excel-G, Twin Tube (Part No.3444455)
- Torque/socket wrench: 12, 14, 17, 18 mm
- Allen key socket: 6 mm
- Spanners: 14, 24 mm
- Hammer
- Pin punch
- Penetrating oil
- Wheel chocks
- Transmission jack lift
- Coil spring compressor
Replace Nissan 350z Front Shocks
- Raise the vehicle using a transmission jack lift
- Remove the front wheel of the vehicle
- Spray control arm nuts and bolts with penetrating oil
- Disconnect wiring and brake housing
- Detach the stabiliser link
- Remove the old Nissan 350Z shock absorber
- Set up the new Nissan 350Z shock absorber
- Fit the new shock absorber into the wheel arch
- Re-attach the stabiliser link, control arm, and wiring
- Re-fit the wheel on the car
Replace Nissan 350Z Rear Shocks
- Raise the vehicle using your transmission jack lift
- Remove the rear wheel of the vehicle
- Spray control arm nuts and bolts with penetrating oil
- Remove the old shock absorber and compress the coil spring
- Set up the new shock absorber and coil spring
- Install the new shock on the wheel arch
- Re-fit the wheel on the car
